Packraft Bow Bag
An ultralight 3-in-1 packrafting bow bag that seamlessly integrates with your expedition backpack for additional storage, while tripling up as a bow bag on your boat and a minimalist daypack for quick side missions on the river.
Designed to fit on almost any backpack with side compression straps and buckles. The side compression straps slide through the daisy chain on the bow bag for a clean and simple connection.
(4) included 1/2" webbing straps are designed to be girth hitched to either the boat or the bow bag daisy chain. The small profile is durable and minimizes entanglement hazards. Each strap can be trimmed to length and then edge sealed with a lighter.
The bow bag is not waterproof - it has a mesh bottom that drains water instantly, while saving a bunch of weight and money over fully waterproof options.
The molded tooth zipper is much easier to open and close than a sealed zipper. I often keep water, sunscreen, and a Pack-A-Pump in the bow bag because it doesn't matter if they are waterproofed or not. A small lightweight dry bag takes care of the rest, and still saves a chunk of weight. It's easy to keep wet stuff wet and dry stuff dry.
The other advantage of a pass-through bag (learned from technical canyoneering with Imlay Canyon Gear) is the outside bag will take all the damage, and you don't have to worry as much about abrasion ruining the waterproof barrier of the dry bag.
