Designed for the hardcore packrafter who carries a full whitewater kit deep into the backcountry. This pack will swallow a large Alpacka Gnarwhal or Valkyrie, with plenty of internal space for a drysuit, pfd, helmet and a week of food.
Once at the river, the hip belt can transition from the backpack to the back band in your boat, saving 7 ounces from the boat outfitting. For Class II trips where weight is super critical, the shoulder straps can also double as a lightweight two-point thigh straps ideal in a boat like the Alpacka Refuge for even more weight savings.
The Bad Larry also integrates with existing Sockdolager accessories like the Bow Bag, which can further reduce your overall system weight and add additional storage capacity. More accessory pocket options will be available soon.
The entire pack is designed to compress into a very tidy and small package for easy storage inside a cargo zipper on the packraft, and to fit nicely in the stern of even the smallest packraft.
Side pockets are large and dimensioned to fit a packraft blade and two 1 liter water bottles per side. Adjustable and replaceable shock cord allows you to easily tighten or loosen the pockets while hiking without removing the pack from your back. Alternatively, the pockets can be removed entirely for a more streamlined pack.

Note: The photos and videos may not show the most up to date revisions of every pack. Because I build these one at a time, I may make slight changes to the patterning to improve performance or efficiency.

Torso Panel Padding
Sewn in padding sleeve: Standard. (This option included a non-removable stretch woven back panel that allows a 3/8" foam sit pad to be inserted for additional back padding, or removed and used as a sit pad.)
Modular Padding Sleeve: (+$10) This option makes the paddling sleeve removable via 6 ultralight toggles. This is a good option if you anticipate you won't need the additional padding. Requires more discipline to pack well so no uncomfortable items may press into your back.
No padding sleeve: ($0) The lightest and cleanest variation which removes the toggle loops of the modular sleeve.
Webbing And Compression Custom Options
3 Side Compression straps in many color options: Standard
Colors available: Black, Gray, White, Light Blue, Royal Blue, Purple, Red, Yellow, Neon Green, Kelly Green, Raspberry, Lilac
Make webbing removable and modular (+$15) (This option is nice if you want to strip the pack down to it's lightest form, and do not think you need side compression. Also makes repairing a cut compression strap very easy. But overall it is slightly lighter to have the webbing sewn in and not removable.
Add Y Strap Over The Top Compression: (+$5) Handy for carrying awkard items on the top of the pack, where a single strap might not be as secure.
Add Side Roll Top Compression: (+$5) This is a modular adjustment which adds weight but allows the roll top to be clipped to the side of the pack for better compression. The lightest technique is to clip the roll top ends to each other like a dry bag, and only use over the top compression.
Remove Packraft Integration Hardware: This is a good option for the absolute lightest pack if you do not anticipate using the pack harness in the boat as well.
Accessory Pockets and Bags
Add matching bow bag: $72
Add matching lap bag: $72 (details coming soon)
